My love for open water swimming is a means for me to combine swimming with other areas of my life that are really important to me.

As an ultra-marathon swimmer, when I swim through harsh conditions like cold water or jelly fish, I remind myself that what I am experiencing is nothing compared to what hospice patients and families face.  When I am in pain or fatigued, I keep swimming knowing that together, we are helping to provide compassionate care.
